Translation:
I
call to you: Kali of the cremation grounds, auspicious Kali, she who bears the
skull cup (remover of the ego), secret one and she who is above all else;
Ultimate goddess, black night, eternal mother, she who is the one beyond the
fear of time and who illuminates the entire clan wave of my ancestors; She who
gives desire, is desire and desired, the one who is the nature of desire, whose
thighs are anointed with the juice of musk and who moves softly like the
elephants...
Listen to the mantra:
This mantra is used during our Kali
Puja, particularly to honor Maa Kali as Maha Devi, the Great Goddess. It is a
delving into Her mysteries beyond the form and shape of the manifest realm,
into the inexplicable where sound alone conveys meaning, not words.
We utilize this mantra to signal our
devotion and connection to the magnificence of Goddess beyond our attachments
to Her; we sing Her names to honor our connection to Her mysteries and Her
manifest illumination here and now, howsoever that may appear to our minds,
hearts and spirits.
Use this mantra in your daily
practice to open your heart and honor your commitment to the Divine in all
forms, with all names.
Translation:
Vibration
of the Universe, AUM, great goddess Kali, I ponder you who resides in the
cremation grounds, (place of the ego's falling away), may you grant your
devotee the delight of your embrace.
Listen to the mantra:
This mantra for Kali is used during
our pujas at SHARANYA's devi mandir (goddess temple). It is a powerful and
sweet, sattvic (high vibrational) mantra that brings us into harmony with Her.
Use this mantra in your daily
practice to invoke and honor Kali Maa on all levels - as the Ultimate Reality,
Great Mother, and dearest personal Goddess.
Translation:
Vibration
of the Universe, She Who is all that can be perceived or conceived in the mind,
She Who is perfect peace, She Who is the Infinite Beyond Time, the Ultimate
Divine, She Who is and is beyond darkness, I am One with Her and All Divinity.
Listen to the mantra:
This mantra for Kali is used during
our pujas at SHARANYA's devi mandir (goddess temple). It is a powerful mantra
which invokes bija mantras, or "seed" mantras, which contain
the vibrational essence of the divinity they invoke.
Hrim is the mantra frequently used to invoke Mahadevi, the Great
Goddess, and is the last bija mantra chanted in the Devi Mahatmyam or Chandi
Pathah, the famous story of how Mahadevi saves the world from evil forces,
and a powerful reminder to invoke Her within ourselves to battle our fears and
our egos, and ultimately bring peace to our souls. Srim is connected
with a number of different primal goddesses, and has the effect of increasing
the intensity of the mantra. Krim is Maa Kali's bija mantra, holding Her
divine essence. Thus, through these bijas, we move from the ultimate power of
Goddess, and become more focused until we invoke Kali Maa specifically. With
this mantra we honor Her as the essence of the universe, the Great Mother from
whom all things emerge and to whom all things return.
Use this mantra in your daily
practice to invoke and honor Kali Maa on all levels - as the Ultimate Reality,
Great Mother, and dearest personal Goddess.
