Dattatreya is in the Hindu religion the incarnation of Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh, the Hindu trinity of the Creator, the Protector and the Destroyer. He has the combined qualities of all the three divine forces.

Dattatreya is widely worshipped by Hindus all over India.

Chandra Grahan - Lunar Eclipse - 10 दिसम्बर 2011 (शनिवार) को अंतिम चन्द्र ग्रहण

10 दिसम्बर 2011 (शनिवार) को इस वर्ष का अंतिम चन्द्र ग्रहण है ,यह भारत सहित आधी दुनिया में देखा जा सकेगा,ग्रहण की अवधि 3 घंटे 33 मिनट तक रहेगी जो की शाम 6 बजकर 15 मिनट से शुरू होकर रात्रि 9 बजकर 48 मिनट तक रहेगा । चन्द्र ग्रहण में ग्रहण से पहले 3 प्रहर तक वेध होता है ।

* ग्रहण का सूतक 10 दिसम्बर 2011 को प्रात: 09 बजकर 15 से शुरू हो जायेगा ।
* इस बार चन्द्र ग्रहण रोहणी और मृगशिरा नक्षत्र तथा वृष राशि पर घटित हो रहा है ।

इन 12 राशियों पर यह रहेगा प्रभाव----
मेष–धन हानि, घर में कलह-क्लेश का सामना करना पड़ सकता है
वृष–घात, इन जातकों को शारीरिक कष्ट का सामना करना पड़ सकता है
मिथुन–हानि,धन हानि हो सकती है. लाभ में कमी बनी रह सकती है.
कर्क—लाभ,यह ग्रहण उनके लिए धन लाभ देने वाला है
सिंह–सुख,गुप्त चिन्ता बनी रह सकती है
कन्या–अपमान,सतर्क रहना चाहिए, क्योंकि उन्हें अपमान का सामना करना पड़ सकता है.
तुला–सुख की प्राप्ति होगी. गुप्त रुप से लाभ में वृद्धि होगी
वृश्चिक–स्त्री-पति दोनों को कष्ट,घर में कलह अथवा जीवनसाथी का स्वास्थ्य चिन्ता का विषय बन सकता है
धन–सुख मिले,शारीरिक रोगों का सामना करना पड़ सकता है.
मकर–चिंता संतान से कष्ट अथवा संतान को कष्ट हो सकता है.
कुम्भ–सभी मनोरथ पूर्ण होने की संभावना
मीन– धन का लाभ हो! यह ग्रहण शुभफलदायी रहेगा. इन्हें धन लाभ होगा.

ग्रहण काल में क्या करे क्या न करे

* खाने के सामान में तुलसी के पत्ते या कुषा डालने से ग्रहण के प्रभाव से मुक्ति व सुरक्षा होती है।
* ग्रहण काल में पवित्र नदियों के जल से स्नानादि करके अपने इष्टदेव की पूजा- पाठ व मंत्रो का जप करना चाहिए क्योंकि ग्रहण काल में किया गया पूजा- पाठ व मंत्रो का जाप से अनंत गुना फल मिलता है ।
*ग्रहण काल में अनावश्यक खाना-पीना, मैथुन, निद्रा आदि वर्जित माना गया है।
* ग्रहण काल में मंत्रों द्वारा सिद्धि प्राप्त की जा सकती है ।
* चन्द्र ग्रहण के उपरांत दूध , चावल , सफ़ेद वस्त्र और दक्षिणा आदि का दान करना चहिये।
* किसी भी ग्रहण काल में गर्भवती महिलाओं को सब्जी काटना , वस्त्र की सिलाई करना व कोई भी उतेजित कार्य नहीं करना चाहिए, गर्भवती महिलाओं को ग्रहण काल में धार्मिक ग्रंथो का पाठ या वैदिक मंत्रो का जाप करना चाहिए ऐसा करने से उनकी होने वाली सन्तान स्वस्थ व दीर्घायु होती है ।
* किसी भी ग्रहण काल में देव प्रतिमा का स्पर्श नहीं करना चाहिए ।
* ग्रहण काल के बाद स्नान कर स्वच्छ वस्त्र धारण करें और अपने सभी घरो में गंगाजल छिडक कर घर को शुद्ध करे ,

"भाग्यं फलति सर्वत्र न विधा न च पौरूषम शुराग कृ्त विद्याश्च:,वने तिष्ठंति मे सुता: "

मै राशियों के अनुसार फल नहीं लिखता हूँ क्योंकि १ ही राशी में लाखों लोग होते है और सभी अपने अच्छे-बुरे कर्मो के अनुसार लाभ-हानी प्राप्त करते है , समस्त जगत को चन्द्र देव शीतलता प्रदान करते है और हम सभी को चन्द्र देव की पूजा आराधना करनी चाहिए

इस सदी का दुर्लभ संयोग इस वर्ष  में हुए  सात ग्रहण

इस मास सूर्यग्रहण(25 नवंबर) के बाद 10 दिसंबर को होने वाला चंद्रग्रहण इस माएने में ऐतिहासिक होगा कि यह साल का 7 वां ग्रहण होगा। हजारों साल में ऐसा दुर्लभ संयोग बनता है जब एक वर्ष में अधिकतम 7 ग्रहण होते हैं।
खगोलविदें के अनुसार ग्रहण तो हर साल होते हैं लेकिन इस बार आश्चर्य की बात यह है कि एक वर्ष के अंदर ही 7 ग्रहण होने जा रहे हैं जो एक दुर्लभ संयोग है। सामान्य तौर पर एक वर्ष की अवधि(365 दिन) में चार या पांच ग्रहण होते हैं। 7 ग्रहण अधिकतम होते हैं जो कभी-कभी ही होते हैं। इस सदी की यह पहली घटना होगी जब 21 दिसंबर 2010 से 10 दिसंबर 2011 के बीच 7 ग्रहण होंगे।

कब-कब हुए ग्रहण?

- 21 दिसंबर 2010 को खग्रास चंद्रग्रहण हुआ। यह भारत में नहीं दिखाई दिया।

- 4 जनवरी 2011 को खंड सूर्यग्रहण हुआ जो केवल पश्चिमोत्तर भारत में दिखा।

- 1 जून 2011 को खंड सूर्यग्रहण उत्तरी ध्रुव पर आर्कटिका महासागर में दिखाई दिया।

- 15-16 जून 2011 को खग्रास चंद्रग्रहण भारत में देखा गया।

- 1 जुलाई 2011 को खंड सूर्य ग्रहण दक्षिण प्रशांत महासागर में देखा गया।

- 25 नवंबर 2011 को खंड सूर्यग्रहण दक्षिणी ध्रुव, अंटार्कटिका महाद्वीप पर दिखाई देगा।

- 10 दिसंबर 2011 को खग्रास चंद्रग्रहण भारत में देखा जा सकेगा।

ग्रहण से जुड़ी अन्य रोचक जानकारी

- ग्रहण 15-15 दिनों की अवधि में दो ही होते हैं, जिनमें एक सूर्य और एक चंद्रग्रहण होता है।

- इस साल (2011) 1 जून से 1 जुलाई के बीच तीन ग्रहण हुए। इनमें दो खंड और एक खग्रास हुआ। यह भी एक असामान्य घटना है।

- इस वर्ष पृथ्वी के दोनों ध्रुवों(उत्तरी व दक्षिणी) पर लगभग 6 माह की अवधि में खंड सूर्यग्रहण हुए हैं।

- इस साल चार खंड सूर्यग्रहण तथा तीन खग्रास चंद्रग्रहण हुए।

Khagraas Chandra Grahan (Lunar eclipse) will occur in India on 10th December, 2011 which is a Saturday. The duration of the Grahan will be 3 hours and 33 minutes from 6:15 to 9:48 PM. In India, Moon will rise in the evening between 4:30 to 5:45 p.m before the eclipse. Other than India, Khagraas Lunar Eclipse will also be seen in Africa, Europe, Middle-east Asia, Australia, North America, Greenland, East Canada and Artic.

Commencement of Khagraas : 19:36 hours

Sutak Kal of the Grahan

Khagraas Chandra Grahan will be seen on 10th December, 2011. The sutak kal of this Grahan will commence at 09:15 in the morning.

Things that should not be done during the Grahan

Hindu scriptures have mentioned about a few things and activities that should be or should not be performed during the Grahan. Pregnant ladies should not use knives at all to cut vegetables and fruits. They should avoid sex, consumption of meat and alcohol. Pregnant ladies are also advised to stay away from stimulating products. 

Things should be done during the Grahan

During the Grahan, people should worship their deity after taking a bath and also worship Chandra dev during the Grahan while chanting mantras. People should perform religious activities like chanting vedic mantras etc. as per their faith. During the period of Grahan, food, water, money, clothes, fruits etc. should be donated as per one’s potency. It is very auspicious to take a holy bath on this day in holy places like Prayag, Haridwar, Banaras etc.

As per the Dharmasindhu, a holy bath should be taken during the Grahan kal followed by performing homas and worshipping God at the mid phase of the Grahan. At the time of the Grahan Moksha, shraddh should be performed for the pitras. A bath should be taken once the Grahan ends completely. It is advisable to perform all these rituals in the same procedure as mentioned above.

Effect of the Grahan on Different Zodiac Signs

Khagraas Chandra Grahan will have different effects on different zodiac signs. Moon will be transiting in Taurus sign in Rohini and Mrigasheera Nakshatra.
